Politics and Debate as a Service?

As Entrepreneurs and Businessmen, finding a niche to serve can be both fun and exhausting. There are so many niches to pick from and few of them remain untapped. However, there is still opportunity, even in legacy categories that many in the tech sector often overlook.

One example is an emerging startup called Versy, which recently launched Versy Politics – a social debate platform centered on discussing a candidates platform, where all sides can learn about their candidate’s proposals while engaging in spirited debate on the pros and cons.

Debate and politics are old hat and many Entrepreneurs and businessfolks have long ingored these old, academic spaces in favor of sexier arenas like crypto, finance, AI, and business SaaS. In Versy’s case, they’ve found their sweet spot at the intersection between debate and politics.

This can serve as an important lesson to those still looking to come up with the right niche. In plenty of cases, looking at the intersections can often yield interesting ideas. In speaking with Versy’s founders, physical goods are also in the works – mainly in a marketing capacity – to play into political candidates’ love for campaign swag, which they hope to become more involved in as their user base continues growing.
